Fusion Festival 2018: a mural by Räuberkidz at the Räuberhöhle, rebuilt and animated by RE:SORB with 3D mapping. Music: ‘Wikka’ by Noize.

RE:SORB has been part of Fusion for years — from stage visuals to mapped structures across the former airfield in Lärz.

The projection surface here was a painting, not a screen. Mapping a mural means rebuilding the painted work as a digital model first, so the animation follows the edges of the glyph-like shapes already on the wall. The painting is not covered over. It is set in motion, with the projection laid over work by Räuberkidz.
