Omnisphere — Garbicz Festival

Omnisphere is a sculptural 360° light installation: a seemingly floating sphere becomes a living, generative canvas of light, pattern and motion with immersive sound — shown at Garbicz Festival in 2019, 2023, 2024 and 2026.

Omnisphere is a sculptural 360° light installation that transforms a seemingly floating sphere into a living, generative canvas of light, pattern and motion. Compact enough for plazas and gardens, strong enough to become the central gathering and photo point of a site — and, in the forest of Garbicz Festival by a lake in western Poland, a planet among the trees.

A sphere is the hardest canvas there is: no edges, no front, visible from everywhere. RE:SORB produces seamless spherical content that wraps around the object and moves with the music.

The work is an object mapping rather than a projection onto a screen. The content is built for the geometry of the sphere, so the animation follows the curve of the surface instead of reading as a flat image laid over it. One of the pieces covers the sphere in a concentric blue pattern.
