History of Leipziger Platz — Mall of Berlin
‘History of Leipziger Platz’: Germany’s largest 3D projection mapping at the time — a show on the façade of the Mall of Berlin realised with 48 synchronised projectors.

‘History of Leipziger Platz’ tells the story of Berlin’s octagonal square — from its baroque origins through the boom years, war and division to the new city centre — on the long façade of the Mall of Berlin.
Realised with 48 synchronised projectors, it was Germany’s largest 3D projection mapping at the time and among the largest outdoor mappings in Western Europe. RE:SORB delivered the complete package: storytelling, 3D content, the multi-projector system design and the on-site mapping — and returned to the Mall of Berlin for another show in 2017.
A façade mapping of this size starts with the building itself. The projectors are then placed and calibrated on site, so that their separate images line up as one picture across the length of the façade.
