Low Bros Remix

RE:SORB created an animation on a street art mural by the artist duo Low Bros at Urban Spree Gallery in Berlin, rebuilding the painting in 3D and remixing it with light.

The surface was a finished painting rather than a blank wall, so the animation had to follow the artwork already there. RE:SORB rebuilt the mural in 3D, animated that model and projected it back onto the wall itself.

Urban Spree is Berlin's open-air gallery in Friedrichshain, and a site the studio has returned to. RE:SORB also mapped a sculpture there, and in 2016 animated a monumental photographic artwork at the gallery for an exhibition opening. The mural belongs to a run of mural and street art mappings the studio has made since 2013, mostly at Urban Spree.
