RE:SORB’s 2022 mapping wraps the walls of MaHalla, a former industrial hall in Berlin-Oberschöneweide — an indoor immersive space at architectural scale.

The brick walls of the MaHalla industrial hall in Berlin wrapped in a blue and cyan projection mapping

MaHalla is a former industrial hall in Berlin-Oberschöneweide turned art venue. In 2022 RE:SORB wrapped its brick walls in a mapping — the whole hall becomes a single image, and the visitor stands inside it.

Blue architecture dissolves into circuitry and light and reassembles around the audience: the indoor counterpart to the studio’s open-air lightfields. In 2026 RE:SORB returned to the hall with BEYOND, an indoor presentation shown at the Sanctum of Sound Festival.

The mapping spreads across the hall's interior, so the image sits on the walls around the visitor rather than on one façade. The surface is the hall's own brick, not a screen, and the content is built to fit that geometry.

RE:SORB's scope ran from the concept to the generative content and the sound. The studio lists the piece under its immersive spaces and 360-degree work, where the space, the content and the technology are designed as one environment.
