Schloss Köpenick — Festival of Lights 2020

RE:SORB’s 3D video mapping on Schloss Köpenick at the Festival of Lights Berlin 2020: two different art motifs on the baroque palace, and a stop on the tour of the new Berlin bear.

For the Festival of Lights Berlin 2020, our team transformed Schloss Köpenick, the baroque palace on its island in the river Dahme, with two different art motifs on the weekend evenings of 19 and 20 September. In the 3D mapping the façade changes shape: stones break out of the wall and fit back in.

The palace was also a stop on the tour of the new Berlin bear, which the State of Berlin had launched a week earlier with our mapping on the Rotes Rathaus. Our team made three more of the tour’s stops: Rathaus Neukölln, the Theater an der Parkaue in Lichtenberg and the Bezirksmuseum Marzahn.

The photos were taken among the audience on 19 September 2020.
