Sharjah Light Festival — 2023–2026

Since 2023 RE:SORB has produced 3D mapping for the opening shows of the Sharjah Light Festival; in 2025 the studio mapped a mosque in Sharjah and created the content for the illuminated pillars of the festival zone.

The Sharjah Light Festival turns the emirate’s landmarks into canvases of light every February. Since 2023 RE:SORB has produced 3D mapping for the festival’s opening shows — landmark-scale work in the studio’s architectural tradition, from the Brandenburg Gate to the Bolshoi Theatre.

In 2025 the studio mapped a mosque in Sharjah with a filigree of light drawn over its dome and minarets, and created the content for the illuminated pillars of the festival zone. The 2026 opening show followed.

The commission covers two kinds of work — content that is projected, in the opening-show 3D mapping and the façade mapping, and content made for light installations.
