‘Liaison’ reached the final of the Zsolnay Light Art competition in Pécs, Hungary, with a 3D mapping on the cathedral’s façade.
‘Liaison’ was RE:SORB’s entry to the Zsolnay Light Art competition in Pécs, Hungary, in 2019, where it was selected as a finalist.
The show was projected onto Pécs Cathedral.
Mapping a façade means tying the animation to the geometry it is thrown onto. The studio surveys the building and rebuilds it as a 3D model, and the show is animated on that model before anything is projected.
